I have started your routine with my 5 mth old. We have been going for 5 days with no real improvement. He can put himself to sleep with no problems however only sleeps for one cycle during the day which means I have to keep him up for over 3 hours! Im finding that by the night he is soooo overtired he has trouble settling! He is on solids but still needs the dreamfeeed plus another feed!! Help!!!!

Hi Alice :

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Save Our Sleep® ® Online Advice. This in an area to say thank you to Tizzie, the Save Our Sleep® ® team and the other members of the forums, and unfortunately not a place where you can seek advice for your baby, toddler or family.

If you are not seeing improvements in your baby's sleeps then it sounds like there is something still not quite right which are stopping him from being able to sleep well. To be able to guide you accurately we need lots of very detailed information, so we do need to ask that if you would like some support and advice that you become a member. The Save Our Sleep® ® Online Advice is an area where parents are able to come and receive support in a safe environment. You can post any questions you have, and you may also find your question is already covered in previous forum threads. The Save Our Sleep® ® Online Advice is closely monitored by the Save Our Sleep® ® moderating team who read every post and a member of Tizzie’s team will step in if incorrect, misleading or potentially unsafe advice is given.

Here is a link to the membership information for you to consider . The annual fee for these memberships enables Save Our Sleep® ® to continue offering this advice service and to maintain a safe online community for all parents.

To help you with getting started you can access a free copy of Tizzie's Safe bedding guide here - . Tizzie has found 70% of sleep problems are due to babies being not warm enough to sleep well, so this is always something we look at first when helping babies settle and sleep well.

I will now lock this topic. If you have further questions about memberships please email .

Kind regards,
