How the Competition works

   Below you will find the Terms and Conditions.  This is an important guide on how the competition works.  If you require clarity on any aspect of these, please review the Frequently Asked Questions first, and if you do not find the answer there, please contact us at babyofthemonth@saveoursleep.com.  Good luck and have fun!

1.            There is no age limit for entry into the Baby of the Month Competition.  We welcome you to send us a photo of your little one, even if they are a little grown up.
2.            All photos of a baby or babies entered into the Baby of the Month Competition must display either a product that can be purchased from the Save Our Sleep® ® Store or be of your baby/child asleep.
3.            Please send the photo of your baby via email to babyofthemonth@saveoursleep.com and include your name, your baby’s name (including surname initial), when the photo was taken, his/her age when the photo was taken and the item featured in the photo as purchased from the Save Our Sleep® ® Store.  Also, please include your baby's full name as the topic in the email that you send.
4.            All photos submitted must be a .jpg image no larger than 1MG.  Please do not submit any professional photos.  
5.            One child is considered to be one entry.  You were previously permitted to submit up to 5 photos however this rule has been changed as of the December 2008 competition and now only one photo per entrant may be submitted.
6.            You may submit entries for as many babies as you like (ie if you have twins or two children etc).  For clarity, two babies submitted will constitute two entries (with one photo per baby).
7.            We will not accept full or partial nude photos of babies for the Baby of the Month Competition, although photos revealing bare head and shoulders only may be accepted at our discretion.  Further, photos displaying products that are seen to be used in an unsafe manner, whether they are sleeping products or toys, will not be accepted.
8.            All entrant's submitting a baby's photo into the Baby of the Month Competition must be the parent/guardian of the baby appearing in the photo. If you are not you must obtain written permission of the parent/guardian of the baby appearing in the photo before entering the photo into the competition.  Proof of written permission must be provided directly to babyofthemonth@saveoursleep.com upon entering the competition.
9.            This is a monthly competition and to enter the Baby of the Month Competition submissions must be received by 6pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) on the first Sunday of the month (ie so that entries are received for 1 week) unless otherwise stated.  For example, submissions received by 6pm EST on Sunday 9th November, if eligible, will be entered into the competition for November.
10.        This Baby of the Month Competition is open to both Save Our Sleep® ® Members and the general public.  The general public means any member of the public, so all current members please remember to invite your family and friends to enter and vote!
11.        For clarity, the general public (Members, family, friends or anyone) can enter their baby into the Baby of the Month Competition AND the General Public can vote on the Baby of the Month Competition.
12.        Every month up to 100 eligible entrants can compete to win the Baby of the Month Competition.  These entrants will be posted on the website on the morning of the second Monday of the month of entry.  They will be voted upon by both Save Our Sleep® ® members and the general public.
13.        Voting will be open for the balance of the month (normally around 3 weeks, for example, in November voting will open on Monday 10th November in the morning) and will close by 6pm EST on last day of the month, unless otherwise stated.  The winner will be announced shortly after closing.
14.        The photo that receives the most votes via the website will become the winner of the Baby of the Month Competition for that month.
15.        If you do not win, you may re-enter the competition in future.  To do this a new submission will need to be made per month and a different photo  must be submitted.
16.        The Baby of the Month winner will receive a $50 Gift Voucher valid for 6 months for exclusive use at the Save Our Sleep® ® Store.
17.        If you are a winner of the Baby of the Month Competition you will automatically be entered into the next bi-annual Baby of the Month Finalists' Competition, to be opened again for voting by the general public. Voting will be open for one month and the prize will be determined shortly before voting is opened.  If you have won a Baby of the Month monthly competition, you may not re-enter the competition until after you have been entered in for the bi-annual Finalists Competition.
18.        All photos submitted will become the property of Save Our Sleep® ® and will not be returned to the owner. Save Our Sleep® ® will never distribute or use the submitted picture for any purpose other than the Baby of the Month Competition described herein without prior permission from the parent/ guardian. Winning photos may not be published elsewhere (including but not limited to other Internet web sites and print publications) without the express written consent of Save Our Sleep® ® . Use of winning photos without the express written consent of Save Our Sleep® ® will result in disqualification from the annual contest.
19.        Winners will be featured on www.saveoursleep.com.
20.        Save Our Sleep® ® reserves the right to cancel the Baby of the Month Competition at any time.
21.        Save Our Sleep® ® reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions of the Baby of the Month Competition at any time.
